Ope’s Opinion:  I am well aware that this book is in the romance category.  I enjoy romance books and this is a really good one.  There is a great, realistic story with characters you will root for.  So why a four chair and not a five – I do not think explicit steamy scenes are necessary to feel the sexual tension between the characters.

Catherine Bybee really knows how to weave a story with great characters.  I will read her again, I will just skim the steamy parts.

Ope’s Opinion:  This book is put in the romance genre and it does have some steamy parts to it, but it is so much more then the those parts.  It has a wonderful story line, great characters and a mystery to be solved.  This is the third book in the A Most Likely To series.  You do not need to read book one and two to enjoy this one, but it is worth your reading time to start at the beginning. 

Jo is the focus of this book, but Mel and Zoe are in the middle of what is going on.  It was interesting to see Jo’s whole story slowly revealed and to hear where Mel and Zoe are now.  Catherine’s writing kept me wanting to ignore the rest of my life and just read!

The ending let the reader know where everyone ended up and was very satisfying.  The mystery was solved with some twists that added to the story line.

New Books

My daughter Kristin of Kritters Ramblings bought me two books for Christmas.

Both of these books are by Catherine Bybee.  She is an author I have enjoyed before.  Making It Right is the third in a series.
Fool Me Once is the start of her new series.

These will be nice to read with all the cold weather.  Just stay home and curl up with hot tea and one of these books.

Staying For Good

Ope’s Opinion: While reading this book, life happened.  I kept getting interrupted and couldn’t wait to get back to the book.  That tells you how good it was!  I wanted the world to stop, leave me alone and let me read!

It would have been a five chair, except the foul language and a few too many steamy scenes in it.  If you can over look that, the story is amazing.  There were some scary points in the book that made me hold my breath.

There is a third book in this series.  I will be purchasing that one as soon as possible.  I have really enjoyed Catherine Bybee’s stories.

Doing It Over

Ope’s Opinion: This book falls under the romance genre – it will not disappoint those who are truly looking for a romance ( there are some steamy parts ), but this book is so much more!  It is a great story, some family drama, friendship and a little mystery.  So if any or all of those fall into the genre you enjoy reading, this book is for you. 

Also, this is the first of a series.  This book is about Melanie, the next one is about her friend Zoe.  It will be coming out January 24th, so we don’t have to wait too long!
